Simon was a councillor here in Moreton West and Saughall Massie previously between 2004 and 2014 winning three elections. He stood down to spend more time with his family during those important teenage years. As a councillor Simon served as a governor at Lingham School and chaired committees in the Town Hall.
Simon is a former Police Officer and Commissioned Officer in the RAF. He is married with two children and he now runs his family business. In his ever reducing spare time Simon is a rugby coach.
Simon has a history of involvement in the ward where he supported Girtrell Court and the Social Care overcharging by the council. He has a commitment to be the best local councillor he can be and wants to try to replace one of the best local councillors Wirral has ever had - Councillor Chris Blakeley.
Simon believes in rewarding hard work but supporting those unable to work. He supports freedom and opportunity but understands the balance between those freedoms and the rule of law.
Simon understands you expect your councillors in the Town Hall to lead and try to make changes in-order to make our lives and the lives of those most vulnerable amongst us better. He has a deep interest in Social Care and the manner in which we support those in our community who are most vulnerable and at risk. He also believes that the values that conservatives bring to the town hall, hard work, rewarding effort and supporting family values are important.
Our plan for Wirral:
- Protecting our environment
- Tackling Town Hall waste
- Improving council services
- Putting more police on the streets
- Supporting local shops and town centres
