David Burgess-Joyce (Greasby, Frankby & Irby)

Elected in May 2015, David Burgess-Joyce is one of the Wirral Borough Councillors for the Greasby, Frankby and Irby ward. He is also the Conservative Group's Assistant Whip.

David was in senior posts within law enforcement for over 30 years. Following his role in the National Crime Squad he moved to the Serious Organised Crime Agency where he led the organisation's ability to arrest and prosecute serious criminals. Since 2014 he has run his own estate agency.

From 1982 to 2014 David volunteered with Merseyside Police Special Constabulary reaching Chief Officer in 2011 commanding over 700 officers.

David is passionate about the Wirral, having lived here all his life, and in what spare time he has is passionate about opera and British history.
