Location of new parking meters to be revealed

Details of where new coastal parking meters are to be installed are set to be revealed in a Town hall 'consultation' starting on 16th May.

The plan is for parking meters at coastal areas, including promenades, at Moreton, Wallasey, Hoylake, Meols and West Kirby.

Respect Pledge for local elections

Today (3 March 2018) the Conservative Party Chairman Brandon Lewis unveiled the Party’s Respect Pledge. The pledge will apply to all Conservative candidates standing in the local elections this year, ensuring they behave responsibly throughout the election.

Action on traveller sites

Following last year's problems caused by traveller sites in Greasby and New Brighton, the Conservative Government has announced a review of the law and powers to deal with unauthorised caravan sites.

£2.6 million for roads in Wirral

News that £2.6 million has been awarded to Wirral Council for improving roads and pavements has been welcomed by Conservative Councillors.  This followed £270,000 given to Wirral Council to tackle pot holes. 

Increased pay for NHS workers

Lingham litter pick goes ahead...in spite of the weather

The latest community litter pick organised by the local Conservatives went ahead today, in spite of the weather.  Organised by Councillor Bruce Berry, bags were filled with litter from around Lingham Park by volunteers.
