Wirral's Licensing Committee has tonight backed calls from Unite the Union and the Borough's Conservative Councillors to retain the cap on the number of Hackney's licensed to operate.

Developers urged to 'get the message' on Green Belt site

Plans to build on a Green Belt site between Meols and Moreton have been thrown out by the Planning Inspector, following a campaign by local councillors and residents.

The site of the former Garden Hey Nurseries on Garden Hey Road is part of the Green belt between Meols and Moreton. 

Another new business opens in Moreton

The latest business to open in Moreton was welcomed to the town by the three local Conservative Councillors last week.

Wirral Cosy Rooms is owned by Dave, Scott and Ian and has opened a store on Hoylake Road.
