Liscard Primary School awarded ‘World Class’ status

Liscard Primary School in Wallasey has become the first authority-led School in Wirral to receive ‘World Class’ status by the World Class Schools Quality Mark (WCSQM).

Nominated by previous winners Weatherhead High School, a local secondary academy also in Wallasey, representatives from Liscard Primary picked up their award at the annual WCSQM Awards Ceremony, hosted at Cambridge University by Lady Mitchell Hall.

The awards celebrate schools who have gone beyond ‘Outstanding’, as well as individual students from World Class schools across the UK, in recognition of their outstanding achievements in 2019.

Liscard Primary was rigorously inspected by judges over the last few months who were looking for non-selective state schools which offer the best education to young people.

Now in its sixth year of accreditation, WCSQM has awarded World Class Status to only seven other primary schools this year from around the country.
