Commenting on the decision to allow re-development of Storeton Hall, a Grade II* Listed Building and Scheduled Monument, and building in the Green Belt, Councillor Mary Jordan (Clatterbridge Ward) said: “This is a shocking decision, following an appeal against the Council’s Planning Committee refusing the application.
“Storeton, like many of our rural areas, is under threat because Wirral Council has failed, for the last 14 years, to have a Local Plan that protects these communities.
“How many more of our historic villages will see unwanted developments before the Local Plan is introduced in 2021?”
