This week, the Conservative Government has given Wirral an extra £1.4 million to fix pot holes in our roads. The Borough's 21 Conservative Councillors are keen to ensure this is spent fairly across the Borough.
Commenting on tonight's decision to deselect Cllr. Chris Meaden in favour of hard-left former Council Leader Yvonne Nolan in Rock Ferry Ward, the Leader of Wirral’s Conservative Group, Cllr. Ian Lewis, said:
Conservative Councillors are calling for the current consultation on plans for building on the Green Belt to be extended by three weeks, following lower than expected population figures for Wirral from the independent Office for National Statistics.
