In the September issue of our local newsletter, Newsline, we reported on the Council's reserves of £94.5 million, including £13.6 million set aside for 'emergencies'.

Labour has lent some of this money, £5 million, to Highlands Council in Scotland and £3 million to Thurrock Council in Essex. Bet you didn't read about that in 'Wirral View'!
