Say NO to Labour's Promenade parking charges


Wirral's Promenades and coasts are being targeted by Town Hall bosses to raise £245,000 in new parking charges. 

The plan, announced on 18th December by the Council's Labour Leader, will see parking meters installed at Wirral's most popular locations, and comes in the same week that parking meters were also installed in the Borough's Country Parks.  So far, 1,000 people have signed our petition. Read more here and sign our petition against the charges.

Plans by Tesco for a 24-hour petrol station at their Heswall store have led to opposition from residents and local councillors.

The store giant, which last year saw sales hit £28 billion, wants to turn part of the car park at the Telegraph Road store into a four-pump petrol station.

Councillor Andrew Hodson said: "This not the first time Tesco has tried to build a petrol station in their car park, but we have been successful in having it refused each time.
